Reader Precision Solutions, a precision machining and contract manufacturing company based in southeast Wisconsin, has announced the promotion of Steve Dues to Vice President of Engineering. Dues has been with Reader Precision Solutions for over a decade, previously serving as the senior manufacturing engineer. This new role comes as a recognition of his substantial contributions to the company and his pivotal role in advancing its engineering capabilities.
Dues will oversee all aspects of the engineering department, focusing on aligning its initiatives with the company's strategic goals through cutting-edge engineering solutions. His responsibilities will include optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring that engineering efforts meet the evolving needs of clients and leading the engineering team to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
"Throughout his tenure, Steve has led numerous high-impact projects and has played a crucial role in refining the company's manufacturing processes and engineering strategies," stated Michael P. Reader, President of Reader Precision. "His expertise in seamlessly integrating advanced technologies with traditional machining practices has significantly enhanced operational efficiencies and product quality for our clients."
Dues was instrumental in the company's execution of crucial engineering support during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 when the company's clients were chosen to aid in the production of ventilator components for the Ford Motor Company and GE Healthcare Ventilator Project.
"I am deeply honored to take on the role of Vice President of Engineering at Reader Precision Solutions," said Dues. "This position represents a tremendous opportunity to further innovate and refine our engineering practices. My focus will be on advancing our capabilities to not only meet, but exceed the ever-evolving needs of our clients, ensuring we continue to deliver the exceptional quality and service they expect from us. Together, with our talented team, I am confident in our ability to tackle the challenges ahead and push the boundaries of what is possible in precision machining."
This milestone coincides with a pivotal moment for the company as it begins transitioning to its new 130,000 sq. ft. headquarters. This significant move to a more advanced and spacious environment underscores the company's commitment to harnessing cutting-edge technology and fostering innovation.
