The Apex 2 exosuit assists workers who perform repetitive bending and lifting movements, acting as an extra set of back muscles and decreasing work-related discomfort by up to 30%. Standout features of the 3-lb. lightweight suit include breathable textiles and flexibility, plus a modular design that provides a comfortable fit for users of any size and shape with no motors or batteries involved. These distribution centers would have normally expected 10.5 back injuries in that same timeframe, based on historical data. User-reported, work-related fatigue was reduced by 40% in another study, which also showed a productivity boost of 8% among grocery warehouse case pickers. This boost improves more than just the worker's quality of life, but also yields an estimated 13x return on the initial investment over a 5-year period when deploying the Apex 2 among their workforce."
