Detroit Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Systems and Kinetic Power Electric Boating

Detroit Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Systems (DMS) and its advanced manufacturing arm, Kinetyc, have been named an official contract manufacturing partner for electric boat company Voltaic Marine.

The partnership kicks off immediately, as teams from Kinetyc and Voltaic collaborate to complete a critical early production model. Full-scale commercial production is scheduled to launch in 2026, positioning this alliance at the forefront of the rapidly growing electric marine sector.

"This is more than a manufacturing contract, it is a shared mission to electrify the future of maritime," said Bruce Smith, Chairman and CEO, DMS. "Voltaic brings game-changing marine innovation, and we bring the manufacturing muscle and precision to bring it to life at scale."

"Partnering with DMS and Kinetyc is a major milestone for Voltaic," said Richard Phamdo, founder and CEO of Voltaic Marine. "Their manufacturing strength and shared focus on quality and innovation put us in a strong position to scale with purpose. This is how we move the marine industry forward."

Founded in 2023, Voltaic Marine, Inc. has emerged as a disruptive force in the boating world, creating aluminum-hulled electric boats built for power, capability and all-day range. Its flagship model, the AEW24, features a 570 HP motor and a massive 300 kWh battery, designed for long-duration, unmatched adventure.

DMS, a Detroit-based Tier 1 supplier, produces millions of parts annually and offers top quality systems, workforce development and impact-driven approach to manufacturing. The company holds IATF 16949, ISO14001 and ISO45001 certifications and employs over 1,700 team members dedicated to excellence and community impact. Kinetyc, its advanced production division located in Wixom, MI, is built for agility, offering cutting-edge capabilities like HP Jet Fusion 3D printing, Kern OptiFlex laser cutting and in-house engineering across a 100,000 sq. ft. facility.

With a strong foundation in automotive and industrial manufacturing, DMS and Kinetyc are now bringing their expertise to the water, partnering with Voltaic to scale electric boating production in the U.S.
